Cheap Date: Films at Laguna Art Museum
In a blog posted by Marla Jo Fisher at OCRegister.com:

We all know that Laguna Beach can be a great place for a date, but it’s hardly an inexpensive proposition.
At 6 p.m. Friday, (March 26), though, you and your honey can enjoy a screening of short films at the Laguna Art Museum for only $5.

The title is “Shorts from the OC” and the wine and popcorn are free!

Afterwards, get a blanket or two out of your car, stroll over to Medici Bistro at 397 PCH (at Laguna Avenue) and get some takeout pizza to eat on Main Beach, while you’re watching the crashing waves.
Or if it’s too chilly, have a burger across the street at Johnny Rockets.
